Just recently, after removing my makeup, I discovered a few fine lines around my eyes. Big deal, you might think. Well, as a solid sign of growing older, it was terrifying...
So I decided to pay a little more attention looking after the under eye area, while trying out some different product formulas available in the market.
Having used two eye creams from Korres and not being satisfied, I headed to the Apivita counter.
First off, I purchased two eye masks; and this was because I couldn't decide which one to get! You see, they are a lot different.
The first one is the anti-fatigue eye patches with rose extract.
Usage: You peel them off from the transparent paper, place it under the eyes, relax for 15 minutes and take them off.
The second sachet is an anti-ageing eye mask with grape.
Usage: you take a small amount and spread it under your eyes right before you go to bed, sleep with it, and rinse it off in the morning.
Again: results? None! Plus I woke up every day to see a ghostly me in the mirror...
So then I bought the Aqua Vita eye cream, same brand. And finally, I'm satisfied!
It has 95% natural origin; it's a pleasure to use; feels moisturising but not greasy at all; makes my concealer spread like a dream on top of it; my fine lines seem to deminish because of the moisturising texture of this cream... I love it!
So, concluding this post:
If you're looking for an "instant fix" for dark circles/puffiness/fine lines around the eyes, you probably won't find a miracle cure. Instead, invest in a good eye cream- in the long term, the skin around the eyes will feel much more comfortable and look "rested"... And this is priceless!
Speaking of which, this Apivita eye cream cost me around 20 euros.
Anyways, please let me know if you've tried anything of the brand- or share your favourite eye cream ;)
Happy blogging and reading and commenting to everyone!

Αγαπάω Apivita!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIδίως οι κρεμούλες της σειράς Αqua Vita είναι ό,τι καλύτερο έχω δοκιμάσει!!
Άλλα προιόντα που θα σου πρότεινα είναι το scrub βερύκοκο και η μάσκα προσώπου με πράσινη άργιλο (είναι όμως για λιπαρό δέρμα)!!hope you like them!!:)
I have tried so many eye creams and I haven't found one that actually works so far. But I have never tried Apivita, so I guess I can give this one a go. I suppose Botox might be the best solution, LOL! xxx
ReplyDeleteI havent try Apivita eyecreams it sounds amazing ,but I tried Apivita day cream with orange and it did break me out!!!
ReplyDeletexxx
ReplyDelete@Pasiphae, in my experience, cream formulas work better than gels and serums for under the eyes. Botox might be the optimum solution, let alone the fact that it cures migraines! 2 in 1 ;)
@Blushingloves, oooops! Bad Apivita... This day cream with orange has long been discontinued, so I'm hoping they've altered the composition of their moisturisers for the better. Bad, bad Apivita!
I have to admit, that I 've never tried anyth from Apivita besides their satchets (the odd scrub or mask here and there)...!
ReplyDeleteBut, since my Garnier eye roll will come to an end soon (great for puffiness, does nth for darkness or wrinkles tho), your recommendation will come in handy! ;) Love that it doesn't interfere w makeup application too!
xx
are you still satisfied with the apivita eye cream? i've run out of eye cream and i'm thinking of buying it. i'm between this and an other one from nuxe. my big problem, in the eye area, is puffiness.
ReplyDelete@evi, well now I'm out of it! hehe
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I would recommend it to you; for me, it provided the moisture I needed to keep my under eye area elastic, so to speak. I don't suffer from puffiness, so I'm not sure how this eye cream performs for that purpose. If you've read good things about the Nuxe eye cream, go for that one! You could always try the inexpensive Elderflower gel from TBS which is targeted to puffy eyes, you could even store it in the fridge for better results! xx
