December 2011 in pictures
Oh, by the way: Picnik rules!!!
Wakey-wakey, sleepy face...
I love every small piece of greenery in Athens,
even if it's verging to non-existent like this one...
Saturday morning. Out for a coffee at Athens' hippest coffe shop ATM,
Tailor Made
I did take more pics of its amazing interior, but there was this fat
guy dominating every shot (no offence to anyone, though).
So there you go, a view of the amazing stools made of old
patchwork rugs! How cool is that?
I ordered a herbal blend of berries and grape, so tasty!
Forced the boyf to add brown sugar to his latte, as I did...
If anything, it's healthier than plain white sugar! Right?
Heading to dad's hometown to spend our Christmas holidays!
Love these pics of beautiful gloomy skies- which in my case,
they always come by accident ;)
This Christmas was a lovely opportunity to remember my childhood
years and spend my days like a care-free little kid ;)
Played lots of Monopoly (which was created in the 1930s, during the
big recession in US. Quite suitable to our times, I should say)
Watched my favourite old-school cartoons!
Found an updated version of tic-tac toe on Miniclip.com ...
And solved the Curse of the Amsterdam Diamond!
This year, my wish for white Christmas came true...
...which turned out a bad thing to wish for, as all these weekenders
rushed to the ski center nearby and ultimately occupied all the coffee
shops in town. Yeah, I didn't go out much...
Instead, I mostly stayed inside the house and did all kinds of trivial
things, like cleaning my makeup brushes :/
Ate lots of Baci chocolates! By far, my favourite candy ever.
Probably the only family tradition my mum keeps every year.
P.S.: I was so sad we didn't get to put up a Christmas tree this year-
either this house is getting smaller or we're collecting too much stuff...
Hope you enjoyed this December picture vlog!

How many of these beautiful gloomy girls have you seen in
downtown Athens?
I regret for not buying a cup, so to support this tradinional beverage!
On a Sunday, me and the boyf had lunch in Kouzina;
good food with that extra something to make it a little more special
than the ordinary, 100% recommended!
We went for the 20E menu, which turned out a pretty good deal
for what we got:
Devine feta dumplings with pomegranate sauce...
A green salad to each of us...
Boyf got the spaghetti dish with cherry tomatoes and rusk bits...
I got the chicken with figs and mashed potatoes...
And to finish our meal, we got some delicious goat cheese tart
with raspberries. Now I need to find a recipe for it!
Out for a beer with a friend.
It feels so peaceful to walk around Athens at night, when the streets
are almost deserted and so quiet...
I'm probably a minority for admitting this, but I really envy the guy
who stays at the 3rd floor of this old building :(
Shaky pic of a pretty familiar sight: an Athenean yellow cab,
Monstiraki square and the omnipresent Acropolis.
I went to the much hyped and anticipated River West mall...
To be honest, it left me completely indiferent...
However, I absolutely loved this cute display ;)
Steamed spinach introduced to my usual pasta...
This combo's a keeper!
Kataif from Kosmikon... 'Nough said!
Betty Crocker cupcakes... I could try harder than that but they tasted
ok, so who cares? hehe
I finally got my hands on a big Toblerone bar- probably my fave
chocolate bar ever! What's yours?
Wow, more than half of these pics are food related...
Am I growing into those people that only talk about food? haha
I wish you all a happy New Year's Eve!
Hugs and kisses xx xx

October 2011 in pictures
my blog, so here he is!
Staring at old ruined buildings, cause we both love to do that ;)
Art Nouveau buildings to house their business...
One of my other habits is to take photos of old intricate railings
and front doors...
I wish all skyscrapers in Athens were packed together in one place!
This one looks rather lonesome...
Love my city! I wish I had such a view of Athens from my window!
They were so delish that I had to browse online for a
"cinnamon rolls" recipe!
I followed the instructions of the "Cinnabon Clone" recipe from
allrecipes.com- here's the before pic...
...and after baking for 15'. Look at how much they've risen!
They were not as tasty as the Ikea ones, but I'm not giving up!
Hot veal soup. My favourite during winter!
A cosy cafe next to my neighbourhood; for the record, they refuse
to serve instant coffee (Nescafe)...
...so drank a hot chamomile infusion instead :(
Replying to blog comments (I always do!)
Scott Schuman (aka The Sartorialist) on WF channel. The most
stylish fashion blogger. Period. There's nothing you can say that
can make me disillusioned about the man-
Whaaat, Garance is taller than Scott?!? What a let-down...
Had a major crash on Kiehl's Creme de Corps!
Autumnal road scenery...
And a beautiful sunset sky
The last pic serves as evidence: I managed to make a Tetris and then
the screen when blank! A Tetris geek's dream!!!
Hope you enjoyed the photos I took during October!
Mwah xx
