7 Deadly beauty sins tag!

Time for another tag, yaaay ;)

My girl Tina tagged me on the 7 Deadly beauty sins tag-
of course, I had to do it right away! So, here goes:

G R E E D
What is your least expensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?
If nail polish counts as "beauty item", my 0.99€ H&M nail polishes have to be my cheapest beauty buy. Hard to own something cheaper than that! My most expensive beauty item has to be Bronze Universel. Which was also the hardest product to track down ---> as a reply to the next question...

W R A T H
What beauty products you have a love/hate relationship with?
What product has been the hardest to get?
Bright lipsticks. As much as I love a bright lip, I hate that I only can pull off the trend on evenings when I go out somewhere fancy- Impassioned during daytime? Noooo!!!

G L U T T O N Y
What are your most delicious beauty products?
Since I currently don't own any delicious-smelling body lotions or lip butters, I'd say Mac lipsticks. Normally I don't favour vanilla as a scent, though in this case I find Mac lipsticks smelling of delicious Petit-Beurre style vanilla bisquits. Yum!
S L O T H
What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?
Hair styling products other than hairspray! In most occasions, I spend too much time doing my makeup; so when it comes to fix my hair to a more presentable state than bed-head, I can't be bothered to follow a hair routine more than 2'... I either straighten some strands with a flat iron and leave it like that, or gather it all up in a bun.

P R I D E
What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?
Foundation. Definitely foundation. My skin is far from flawless, both in terms of old acne scars and uneven pigmentation. If I can get my skintone to look even, I'm a happy gal! [Which reminds me, I should go to Mac and get me either Studio Fix fluid or Studio Sculpt foundation...]

L U S T
What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
If I had to pick only physical features, I'd say: blonde hair, green/blue eyes, broad shoulders and a beard. Preferably wearing glasses and total-black outfits; anything that hints (or fakes) a high IQ and an interest in literature and philosophy...

E N V Y
What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
I admit I'm a tough person to please when it comes to receiving gifts! My "ideal" gift would be something I've specifically asked to receive, so currently my choices would be: Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipstick in Boy, any YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick- and this Alexander McQueen skull clutch. I can always dream, can't I?

I hope you enjoyed my take on this beauty tag!
I'd also love to read your answers; just pick a question and give it a go!

What's in my bag?

'Twas about time I started uploading some tags I've been meaning to write down for the longest time ever!
I can be such a bad blogger sometimes, naughty Evi ;)

I'm starting with the ever so popular "What's in my bag?" tag-
though to be honest, you won't find anything exciting in my post-
read on...

So, the handbag I'm currently carrying around is this faux-leather satchel that I bought from H&M back in October for 30E. Now to put it bluntly,
I can't stand the looks of this thing!

See, when I first saw it I thought "haaaay, a Mulberry Alexa dupe for cheap? Bring it on!!!", then all through winter it was on every-freakin'-display in all H&M stores across Athens and well, it didn't take me much time to get over the initial thrill... But hey ho, that's the one I have ATM so it'll have to make do for this post :/

Inside my bag:

I always carry with me: tissues and wet wipes cause they're always handy and I'm a germ freak, a lighter for emergencies when I have to lend it to a cute stranger (never happens!), painkillers for the odd headache, my Ray-Bans (inside the case) and a white Wayfarer dupe from H&M, my humungous wallet from Zara that always sets off the anti-theft alarms when I walk into an Inditex store (FML...), the H&M nail polish I'm currently wearing (trying to fix my habit of chipped nails the easy way), a random Mac lipstick- this time it's Hue, a pressed powder for touch-ups throughout the day, memory sticks, my keys (notice the mini cooking whisk? aww...), my ancient cell phone that still goes strong, and a pen by Parker.

Not to mention the loads of receipts that nestle themselves deep inside the corners of the bag, the all-present Hondos Center plastic bag from my latest shopping spree and the numerous mint chewing gums- but such clutter wouldn't be too neat to snap it in a pic...

Hope you found it enjoyable? fun to read? sth along this line ;)
Thank you Irene for tagging me! Mwah xx
Feel free to do this tag or leave me your links if you've done it already!

My TOP 11 for 2011!

I've been tagged by my girl Irene and fellow greek bloggers Argyrousa, ladyD and beautyincrisis to come up with my favourite products for 2011.

Narrowing them down to just 11 was the hardest part!
But, I digress ;)

Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base: my precious!!! This is absolutely worth all the hype, I tell you that... It gives a gorgeous caramel glow that I haven't come across in any other bronzer. However, I don't think it's appropriate as a contour shade- but that's just me.
Elf Studio Blush&Bronzer compact: I don't care much about the blush, but I know I can rely on its bronzer side for when I want contour my cheeks. A staple!

Mac Hue lipstick: my most worn lipstick during 2011. Whenever I was in a hurry or wasn't sure of what colour to wear on my lips, Hue came to the rescue. Highly recommended!
Mac Pink Nouveau lipstick: it's fun, youthful, optimistic and I love it. Pink Nouveau introduced me to the world of bright lipsticks and it still remains my favourite for a quick&easy striking makeup look.
Elf Luscious Liquid lipstick: more like lipgloss, actually... I love its sponge applicator and the tiny hint of minty tingle you get on your lips! I only use it on top of lipstick though, as it's almost clear :(

Elf palette with TBS eyeshadows: another staple. I'm sure you've seen this palette many times on my blog; I've now switched the previous top right shade with a satin pink- another makeup revelation for 2011:
pink eyeshadow can look so good!
TBS Moonstone baked eye colour: the sparkly vanilla shade has become my everyday inner corner highlight. The glittery grey will be a perfect match with Mac's Violetta- which I'm soo getting once I return from my holidays!
Mac Painterly Paintpot: HG HG HG!!! Ok, either this one- or Soft Ochre (its yellow undertones might suit me better). Paintpots are so lovely for crease-proof eye makeup, nothing more to add here...

Mac 130 brush: used solely with the Chanel Bronzing makeup base; I love the precision of this brush! The only problem I'm experiencing with it is that it leaks some black dye on the white hair after I've washed it-
if you happen to know a remedy about this issue, do let me know ;)
Elf Studio Powder brush: seriously, everyone should own this brush! For its price, it's a very-very well made handy tool and a great multitasker. Get. It. ASAP.
Eyelash curlers: I was so late on discovering the virtues of eyelash curlers... These ones didn't cost me much but they do the trick- though once their white spongey things fall apart, I'm gonna invest in some Shus!

My fellow beauty bloggers, you're all tagged!

Even if you don't have a blog, I'd love to read your favourite products for 2011! Just include them in the comments section below so that we can have a little chat ;)

13 questions tag

Hi girls!!!!!
How you've been?

God, it's been ages since my last post, I've missed you guys!

Since I was away for Easter, I've been having some serious trouble with my 3G Internet service...
Thank goodness, I'm back to my home computer and I can blog as normal!

I now have to catch up with bloggers posts, comments, etc.-
so I'm starting out with this "13 questions tag" by Argyro.
Thanks for tagging me, girl!

1. What do you order at Starbucks? I used to be a Starbucks fanatic, but I'm not anymore; back in those days, I would order a skim milk latte and a cinammon roll ;)

2. What's one thing in your wardrobe that you cannot live without? Boyfriend jeans!

3. What's one thing that most people probably wouldn't know about you? I have a teeny tiny star tattoed on my wrist...

4. Name one thing that you want to do before you die. Honestly speaking, I'd love to learn how to stay happy at all life's turnings.

5. What's one food that you cannot live without? Pasta!!! I could practically eat tomato&basil spaggeti every single day!

6. What quote/phrase do you live your life by? μέτρον ἄριστον, or moderation is best.

7. What do you like and dislike about the blogging community? Needless to say, I love communicating with girls from around the world that share the same interests with little me, like beauty and makeup! I don't particularly like it when some girls maintain a beauty blog only to be sent free products.

8. What's your number one most listened to song on iTunes? this one:

9. What kind of style would you define yourself as having? I don't have a "fixed" style; if I had to describe it, I would say "modern eclectic with an edge".

10. Favorite number. 3

11. Two hobbies. Exploring downtown Athens and reading Sunday's newspapers.

12. Two pet peeves. 1: People touching with their used fork every piece of lettuce in a salad shared by everyone on the table. I'm sorry but I don't want to taste your saliva! 2: Grown men who wear plastic flip flops in places other than the beach. Don't do it guys, it's not pretty...

13. Guilty Pleasure. Jersey Shore. Need I explain myself?

MY BITCH!

You are ALL tagged, my lovely readers!
Especially the 12th question, I'm dying for your answers on that one ;)
If you don't have a blog, you can answer at the comments section below. Please do!

I'm off for a beer with some friends...
See you again tomorrow!
