Hi lovelies,
During past month I've switched my skincare routine because I can't stop feeling some kind of bitterness towards some products I previously used-
I'm looking at you, Korres Materia Herba moisturizer:
you've been a great match but I don't fell like scooping out 35 euros just for your sake >:(
So these are the products I'm currently testing out:
Korres 3 in 1 Cleansing Water: love this, wrote about it in my previous post.
The Body Shop Nutriganics face wash & toner: hmm, both average- not harsh but they seem to do nothing on my skin. Won't repurchase those...
Apivita Aloe mask: what can I say, I'm amazed by Apivita's little sachets- I've yet to find one that doesn't live up to my standards!
Apivita Aqua Vita eye cream: a nice moisturiser for under the eyes, although I'll definitely buy a different product once I'm through with this one.
The Body Shop Tea Tree oil & blemish gel: I'll probably write another post about these two treatments when I've tested them long enough to see if they work... or not.
The Body Shop Aloe day cream: I like this moisturiser a lot, much like the whole Aloe range by the Body Shop- all products are high in aloe juice (it always comes first in the ingredients list) and they contain the least amount of preservatives (so they have a shorter shelf life). Mild formulas, excellent for my combination and sensitive skin. Thumbs up for aloe!
Apivita face scrub with Lavender and Olive: another favourite, this is probably one of the best face scrubs I've tried so far! It contains crushed olive stones, salicylic acid and menthol- hence the cooling effect when you wash it off ;)
So, any of you tried these products? What's your skincare routine?
P.S.: Today was a marvellous day which called for celebration: we had snowflakes in Athens, yay!!! During past week, the weather was awfully hot for December standards; so at last, winter is officially here and I'm over the moon about it! If you read my blog long enough, you'll probably know I'm more into chilly days than the hot and humid summer season. Too bad there was no wine and biscuits in the cupboard for a proper little fiest :(

which one do u think is better - apivita or korres? (performance-wise, or price-wise)?
ReplyDeletejennifer i would recommend apivita! they are a bit more expensive than korres but they have a better "performance". that's on my skin of course.
ReplyDeleteapivita face scrub with olive is my can't-live-without product! i had also found the perfect moisturising face cream, aqua matte, but apivita changed it with aqua vita :(
Well, I have to say that my skincare routine is quite simple. I try to limit my face products to 1 or 2, because I can't be bothered with too much stuff. So it's just a simple face wash by incosept, olive oil for removing the eye make up (I haven't asked my ophthalmologist about it to be honest, but has never irritated my eyes like the regular eye make up removers do), and for my face and eyes I use Yellow Rose Liposomes Anti Ageing drops (a serum actually, that I use as a moisturizer). I have very oily skin and most creams make my skin oilier, so this serum is more than enough for me. If you don't know it, Yellow Rose is a Greek brand for beauty professionals (and a very good one). I buy them at the Beauty Show, but they have a site in case you're interested (www.yellowrose.gr). Oh, and I do a face scrub occasionally, with sugar and olive oil! xxx
ReplyDelete@Jennifer, agh that's a hard one! It depends on the product, I guess. Now that would be a fun post ;)
ReplyDelete@evi, I know, I used aqua matte in the past! I so hate when Apivita changes or repackages their products... Why can't they be consistent on this like Korres?
And most of all i hate when that change or repackaging comes along with an increase in prices!
ReplyDeletemy skincare routine is simple too. a face wash by vichy (purete thermale foaming cream cleanser), a moisturising face cream by vichy too(aqualia thremale serum - for the time being) and and 3 in 1 cleasing milk by apivita to remove my make up.
i use the face scrub twice or 3 times a month.
i still haven't found the ideal moisturising face cream and my beauty specialist says that there is no ideal face cream for my skin as it ranges from dry to oily throughout the year.
can anyone suggest me an eye cream? i have puffy eyes but with no dark circles.
@Arietta, never heard of the brand before- I just checked the website and gosh, I'm amazed! AHA serums and hyaluronic scrubs and body masks? AND all products are made in Greece? Boy, this brand needs to be more widely known!
ReplyDelete@evi, oh I wish I could suggest you a nice cream for puffy eyes! I believe that the only thing that works is putting ice-cold masks (like this one: http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/_en/_gb/catalog/product.aspx?ParentCatCode=C_SkinCare&CatCode=C_SkinCare_Accessories&prdcode=53356m), this will definitely shrink the swollen areas ;)
Why havent I try Body Shop yet??You tempted me!!Going to check them out for sure!!Lovely post sweetie!!
