Yet another Mac haul ;)

Hiya everyone!
How's my greek girls doing in this summer-heat political craziness?

Anyhoo, last week I popped into Mac to get me a couple of essentials:

Gently Off Eye&Lip Makeup Remover: this is going to be my last dive into bi-phase eye makeup removers, just in case I have misjudged them and they actually suit my habits.
That, and the fact that it's eligible for back-2-Mac! he he he

Paintpot in Painterly: nope, I couldn't stand any longer my Prep+Prime Eye and was bored of using cream eyeshadows as a base, so here it is!!!
My precious... I've read some recent comments that the UDPP is far superior than this one- I have some reservations about this statement but, we shall see how Painterly performs!

Have you tried these products before?
If so, let me know your experiences!

Hint-Hint: the shimmering dry oil from the Body Shop's summer collection is selling like hot cakes! A new batch arrived in greek stores just a couple of days ago- so if you're interested in this product, hurry up to your nearest Body Shop asap!

  1. Me'geia me'geia!! I'm reallllllly looking forward to your review of the painterly paintpot! I've been wanting to buy it for so long, but i've heard that while it does even out your skin tone , it creases a lot! For the moment i'm using the Artdeco eyshadow base and i'm very happy with it. So if this one performs better or the same i will definitely purchase it :)

  3. @denise ❤, thx doll! xx

@dimitra, the Art Deco eyeshadow base is good indeed, although I'm gutted that it dries out too quickly... Oh and it doesn't offer any decent coverage on the lids :( I'd still buy it again, though!

@Devea, oh that's great, now I can't wait to try it out!

  4. I love my painterly paint pot. I use it with a base (TFSI) myself because my eyelids are really oily. But it's awesome because it evens out your lid and really preps it for shadow. You'll love it!

  6. i love shimmery eye shadows and back in october i purchased bare study paint pot!i use it every day as a base or alone and i just love it! i have used almost half of it and it hasn't dried up despite the fact that when i bought it wasn't as "fresh" as the samples i tested (which is a shame because that has happened to me again with a fluidline). Can't wait for your review!

  8. i have never tried Mac skincare range - just the strobe cream and the fix plus spray (which I hate). Am intrigued to know what you think of the remover - but i think ta difasika einai demode! :) (plaka kano etsi?)

paintpot in painterly sounds good. I have seen in jianastar's YT. i think it should be a good buy. I use another paintpot shade as a primer and I am very happy. it didn't go dry, it lasts forever and it does the job.

  10. I got paint pot for a base primer...unfortunately for my oily lids it greases...but I love it I wear everyday after my UDPP it stays there all day...it's a great base color for evening skin tone!

  11. @annie, so far I've used it to even out the lids and I like it! Didn't expect to look good on me because of the pink undertones ;)

@afro, oh that's great, I'm so happy it lasted you for so long! You know, most of the times the samples are more pliable and creamier because they've been used and being stored under the shops' strong lights- I've noticed with Painterly that it's rather hard to get some product now that it's new, but once I use the top layer I think it should be fine ;)

@mariza, thank you girl, I'll sure do that!

  12. @λειντι ντι, you hate fix+? No... You realise you belong in the minority here? Lol, everyone loves it! Me included ;)

@Blushingloves Irene Greece, ha ha it stayed on my wishlist for sooo long that I had to get it!
    xx

@Demi, yeah I think it's great to even out the lids, so far so good ;)

  13. Paintpot in Painterly is in my wishlist but it looks a little yellow when I swatch it so I'm in a dilemma! I'll wait for your review!

  14. You know it's weird, i've had my artdeco eyeshadow base for a year (i won't throw it away, no i won't :p) but it's still as creamy as it was the first day i bought it! Hasn't dried out at all! Strange....

  15. @NatalieDouka, oh no, it's definitely not yellow! It's actually a greyish pink which looks fairly natural on the lids. Soft Ochre is definitely the yellow-est between the Paintpots ;)

@dimitra, no way, really? That's odd! Maybe you took greater care than I did with mine... Shoot :(

  16. Oh do let us know how you get on with the MAC makeup remover! I'll soon run out of mine (the Garnier one) and I need alternative recommendations!!!

I have Painterly, it's a really nice paint pot! However I much prefer UDPP as a primer on me next to any other base (paint pots included)! I strongly suggest you try it out at some point, if only to see how you feel about it!

  17. I'll definitely do proper review on this Mac cleanser, hun ;)

The UDPP is in my wishlist, too! It's only because the UDPP not available in Greece, that's why I opted for Painterly Paintpot- I can't be bothered browsing ebay for sellers, etc... I'm a lazy a**! lol
