January favourites!

Hi lovelies,
this is a post on past month's most used and loved make-up products!

I always enjoy reading this kind of posts-
so if you have done a similar post on January's favourites,
please share your link below so I can read it ;)

   Onto the products:

TBS Brow/Liner Kit: an excellent product with 2 powders that can work beautifully for brows, as well as for lining the eyes or as crease colours. I'm sure it will last me for years, too! Honestly, I couldn't fault this product; but if I really wanted to be picky, I'd say that the "made in Thailand" tag puts me off a little, as well as the fact that there's only one shade group available in my country (I've seen 3 shades on the UK site).
TBS Brow/Lash Comb: a handy little tool that distributes brow powders more evenly. Love it ;)
TBS Brow/Lash Gel: I simply love this product, it has become a staple in my everyday make-up routine! Brow powders are fine but they can make brows too flat-looking; a little brow gel on top gives them some texture and holds the hair in place.
Eyelash curlers: they're from a brand called Elegant Touch, apparently it's the UK company with the Paris Hilton eyelashes... I got them because they were dirt cheap, something like 4-5 euros. They do the trick though, so no complaints ;)

Manhattan Mousse blush: I love the simplicity behind this type of product; you simply take some with your fingers and spread it on your cheeks- no brush, no fuss. This one gives a "warmer" look than my beloved lip/cheek stain from the Body Shop, which sometimes can look too cool-toned.
TBS Brush on Bronze: I simply can't get over how much I love this product, every single time I use it. Its shimmer particles are so tiny that make it a dependable bronzer/highlighter for daytime, even on faces with visible pores like myself! Be warned though, it falls under the orange-toned bronzing powders...

TBS Tea Tree oil: another brilliant little product by the Body Shop that has helped my acne spots; more about this product on an upcoming post ;)
TBS Concealer Pencil: I have used and loved this concealer for more than a year and I've never given it some blog love! It provides great coverage and is so handy to throw in my handbag for touch-ups during the day. I only use it on acne scars though, it can look too thick if applied under the eyes.

What products have you been loving during January?

  4. I really like "favorites" posts! such a coincidence... i was thinking i really need a brow gel!does it dries matte or it is kinda glossy?
Last month i've been using a lot mac paint pot in bare study!A bit tricky in application, but it never creases on me(and my eyelids are oily) and eyeshadow stays put!Definately going back for more

  5. january's favourites were the TBS eyeshadow blender and TBS baked eyeshadow in moonstone but only the lighter shade of the two. you can use it all day!
i hope you are better now. i haven't met one person who didn't get sick the last weeks

@afro i'm tempted to buy the mac paint pot in bare study (i'm actually waiting the next 25% discount period) do you use it only as a primer or also as an eyeshadow on its own? is it shimmery?

  7. i love TBS tea tree oil :3 but i've switched to a larger bottle from Thursday Plantation, hahaha but it's essentially the same thing. I'll buy from TBS for the tea tree oil if i've used this up LOL

i'm interested in the TBS bronze balls (something about the way the balls are intrigue me), i hope they'll have a lighter/paler shade for highlighting or contouring since asians don't really use bronzers XD

  8. @Katie S, aww I'm glad you liked it! I love the Body Shop products ;)
    xx

@Blushingloves Irene Greece, I got it from good old Hondos Center!
Thank you hun, glad you enjoyed the post ;)

@afro, this brow gel dries to a glossy (kind of) finish. But if you use less product it looks fairly matte. I'm currently testing out whether it holds the brow hair in place for a sufficient amount of time, will get back on that soon ;)

@evi, ah really? I actually like the darker colour from Moonstone duo better, lol! The lighter shade is so pretty but I can't wear it on its own, makes my eyes extra puffy :(

@Jennifer, yeah the Tea Tree oil from TBS is so tiny... It goes out really fast :(
The Body Shop carries another product with highlighting pearls, it looks so cute with its various pink and golden little balls! I would have bought it already, but everytime I go to the store it's been sold out :(

@afro thank you για τις info.

  12. Thanks for your Post! Perfect~
I Love mascara, really Great effective eyelash curlers and all things Lashes.

My new favorite is the Hot Lashes heated 2 pc lash curler. It has gotten great reviews at Amazon--Cult favorite Hot Lashes Makeup artist Kit..Absolute best out there~!

They have a great sturdy 24K gold metal curler similiar to the Shu Uemura and Sheisdo one that comes with its own seperate pink small heater base that heats just the pad in the curler, this way my curl really lasts.

Makes my eyes POP and keeps my lashes super curly, they have a website Hotlashes...HTH~

Major Rave, the cadillac of curlers..so worth the price. My friends and I love love love this one! Best by far,,
    HTH~…:) Abundant blessings to all..

  14. @fashion written with a lipstick, yeah isn't that a great product? Concealers are never raved as much as they should!

@LiLy, apparently tea tree oil does a world of good to acne spots, I'm so happy I found this product!

  16. Great selection!!!
And I'm with you on the TBS shades issue, why do we seem to get half of what they release in other countries??? Do they believe the other shades wouldn't sell?? Cos not everyone falls into the classic mediterranean skintone category...!!!

    xx

  17. Yeah, it's so frustrating! Not every greek girl has dark hair and brown eyes, why on earth would they limit their collection to that group? Let alone the brunette girls that dye their hair to blonde... We're talking about a big percentage!
