Yet another mini haul with products I've collected over the past month.
Pretty frugal, as you can see... Hey ho, blame it on my tight budget ;)
In an attempt to rehabilitate my (unhealthy!) addiction to the Body Shop makeup range, I'm doing my best to show some love to drugstore brands that I have been overlooking in favour of "the disease". Judging by the outcome, I'm glad for this change!
To sum it up, every single product from the haul falls undoubtedly under the
pin-up inspired category. That's for having a huge crush on Dita Von Teese...
* Oh please, don't judge! The girl is a phenomenon of elegance, glamour and sensuality. Who wouldn't want to be in her shoes? It could be worse, though; imagine if I admitted I was infatuated with Kim K? Or -dear Lord- Nicki Minaj??? *
Still with me? Swell!
May I proudly present you the Art Deco Golden Vintage lipstick in Muse Red,
Dita's favourite classic red lipstick- her words, not mine... It's part of her 3rd limited-edition makeup collection that was launched during Christmas; boy, am I glad to get my hands on this lippie! It's a bright tomato red, closer to Lady Danger than the likes of Russian Red/Ruby Woo. Paid: €14,80
Since I've kinda regreted picking out the Dior Marilyn nail polish over the pearly white from the Grand Bal collection, I found a close dupe: Revlon nail polish in 20-Pure Pearl.
Paid: €7,40.
Mini "History of Makeup" lesson: pearly white was the most popular nail colour that was worn by respectable ladies during the 50's; reds and burgundys were worn by girls of questionable ethics. At least, that's the story where I live...
Bought yet another Erre Due Luxury eye pencil (€6,10), this time in a charcoal grey shade. This one makes for a wonderful alternative to black eyeliner, that can sometimes look harsh on daytime. I also found two Art Deco matte single eyeshadows (€4,50 each) for that iconic Marilyn Monroe "bedroom eye", so naturally I grabbed them as well!
* For reference, their numbers are 555, 517.
So there, that's everything I hauled lately, makeup-wise! Coming up: a skincare haul with a couple of ever-so-promising products, that may change my skincare routine for good ;)
Anything you shopped recently?
Who's excited for the Mac Archie's girls collection? I know I am!

LOVELY haul sweetie! the art deco products seem quite interesting! and the accesorize earring i simply ADORE!!:) xxx
ReplyDeleteHehe, thank you! The lipstick is to die for, it's somewhat closer to Lady Danger by Mac- which I've seen you rock it and I've been so jeal... ;)

Lovely hall! Have you seen the art deco butterfly spring palette? It's so cute I find it hard to resist!
ReplyDeleteNope, haven't seen it yet! Must go and look for it at the stores, I love the Art Deco empty palettes!

I got the blush from the DVT collection, did you swatch it? Oh, it's lovely, I had my eye also on the lippies, but I already got a close dupe of the one you bought from Revlon. I still can't like this pearly white, forgive me(lol), it's too old fashioned for my likes. I can't also wait for the Archie's girls collection, they have a lovely-lovely red fuchsia, did you check it?
ReplyDeleteGurl that red fucshia Mac lipstick you're talking about is the only thing I want from the Arhie's Girls collection! It will be mine!!!

Thank you! Δεν είναι άψογο το κραγιόν;

Want to try some Art Deco myself, heard great things about their eyeshadow primer
ReplyDeleteThe Art Deco eyeshadow primer is quite decent for its price, only thing is that it dries out quicker than Mac paintpots :(

I like Dita Von Teese too! Love all the goodies but this pearly white polish is my nightmare lol!
ReplyDeleteHaha I know, he pearly white nail polish is not everyone's cuppa tea! But I love it, can't help it really ;)
